The Lucky Number 7!
Happy Birthday Cole!! I can't believe our kids are growing so fast! Cole is now 7! He made sure I remembered this morning as he came in the bathroom to remind me who's birthday it was while I was in the shower! I told him I would never be able to forget his birthday!! Cole was the only pregnancy I had where my water actually broke before getting to the hospital.
We had a great day, and as usual, the last minute planning came through. When I got home from work today we decided it would be really fun to out to dinner before Cole's T-Ball game. So we called two of Cole's friends and decided to go to the Brick Oven -- but we had to leave in 45 minutes! We hurried and called Kyle, Serene, and Shalise and had them meet us there too! Everyone came and we had a great time! And still made it to Cole's T-Ball game at 6:00! WHEW! What a day. Cole also wants to go swimming at the PG pool on Saturday -- so hopefully Grandma and Grandpa Ernie can make it to that party!

KONK!
The day finally arrived. The day we would take one of our children in for emergency care! I must say we have done pretty good since Sidney is now 10. But, you know -- if you know Rett -- he would be our first. Lisa took the kids to the park today for lunch. Dale got a call just after noon letting him know Rett had fallen and was "bleeding all over the place" and needed stitches. Rett was trying to reach the picnic table, slipped and smacked his head on the concrete. Dale and Lisa met me at the Instacare and sure enough, Rett got 2 staples in his forehead and a Tetanus shot to top it off! I must say staples are easier than I thought. We didn't have to go through the trauma of the numbing shot or anything -- just BAM-BAM two staples and you're done! By the time the doctor was finished treating Rett, he definitely was not Rett's friend. So -- I can't wait to go back next week and have the staples taken out!

Sum, Sum, Summertime!
YAHOO!! Summer time is finally here!! We aren't quite in 90 degree weather yet, but I know it will be here before we know it! I just can't believe that my kids are getting so big. Where does time go? Sid is going into 5th grade -- I can remember 5th grade (who would ever forget Mr. Seeley?) Anyway -- since I can still remember it, it means Sidney is growing up too fast. I have the summer packed with sports for the kids. Sid is going to tennis camp this week, soccer practice three times a week, and basketball twice a week - WHEW! I wish I were in as good as shape as she is! Cole started T-ball practices last week and he has games twice a week for the month of June! I need three of me to keep up with all the schedules! I have the opportunity to go to girls camp next week. I am only able to go from Wednesday to Friday, but I think it will be pretty fun. I am really gearing myself up since I haven't camped for about 15 years! But -- I hear Heber Valley Camp is "not camping" -- so it will be perfect for me! Dale is finishing up the dome in the Celestial Room of the Draper temple and then he is onto the Provo temple. It is great to have him around! Maybe we will actually have time to get our house in shape to sell this summer . . . . I'm keeping my fingers crossed we will be able to find a bigger house that we can afford. Keep watching our blog for all those sporting photos!!

IDOL!!
So -- what 'cha all think??? David Cook was my pick! I was so excited! I had myself all prepared for Archuleta, but BAM -- the one I think should get it - did! What an exciting season. American Idol was the only TV I have watched for a long time -- and it just happens that I have Young Women on Tuesday nights, so I watched most of the season in the recaps on Wednesday nights. The life of a Mom!!

Let the Bike Rides Begin!
We are going to have so much fun this year with our bikes!! I love it! We went on a bike ride last weekend with Shalise and Devin. Well, some of us rode bikes . . . we decided to ride the trail up the Provo Canyon. We piled all the bikes in the back of the Suburban and away we went. When we got everything out of the car, we forgot the most important thing -- the bar that connects the baby trailer to the bike!! So, Dale and Rett walked while the rest of rode bikes! We'll never forget that again!! It was a great day anyway! I'm ready to go again!! Saturday anyone??
P.S. - Sidney made the soccer team for another great year! Congratulations Sid!
