Happy Birthday Sid!!

Sidney is now officially 10 years old!! I can't belive how fast time goes by . . . We have had such a fun weekend and there is more to come tomorrow. On the official birthday day - Friday - we didn't plan too much. Before school Sidney got to open a present to Granpa and Grandma Anderson -- Thanks to Grandma, Sidney had a new shirt to wear to school on her birthday, and the next day and the next!! That night Sidney had soccer practice and then a "family" soccer night -- she chose not to attend the "family" night, but rather she wanted Sonic popcorn chicken. So -- whatever Sidney wants -- she gets!! It was a nice quite family night. We gave Sidney a pogo stick and she bounced so much that night -- I think her record is 227 in a row! Then on Saturday, Sidney had 2 soccer games, on the morning and one in the afternoon. The afternoon game was really fun -- Kyle, Serene, Shalise, and Grandpa Ernie all came and watched the game. It was so fun and Sidney's team won 9 to 0! WIPE OUT!! After the game we all decided to go to Pier 49 for Sid's favorie -- PIZZA! Then back home for cake. Now, you know, we don't just have rectangle cakes at our house. Sid wanted an elephant cake -- so, whatever Sidney wants -- she gets!! Check it out -- I think it looks pretty dang good! It was a great weekend! Sidney just keeps getting prettier with age. Dale is going to be cleaning his guns when she starts dating!

Dad Returns!

Yep -- Dale finally made it home after a long 6 1/2 weeks! The last week felt like he would never get here! He put in alot of hours getting the temple finished and also found a little time to play! We gave Dad a few days to rest up and then . . . . . SPRING BREAK happened! No more rest for Dad, welcome back to family life! We decided to spend spring break at home this year, just doing things around here. I took a few days off and we have just hung out!! It has been really relaxing and just what we all needed! We finally purchased the long awaited for BIKE TRAILER and went for a ride as a family -- there will be more rides to come if the weather ever decides to stay nice! (OH BROTHER -- why can't I make the words for this post go to the top of the photos!!! -- you'll just have to live with it!!)

AHHHH!

Can you believe it?!?! Snow!! This is what we woke up today -- I am so ready for warm weather, but Rett could care less! He did not want to come in the house after church today, he was having too much fun throwing snowballs! We should have known it was coming, Sidney had a soccer game yesterday morning and it was only 45 degrees and windy!! BRRR! Sidney was in the starting line up and kicked a goal, with just one problem, she was in the goalie box, so the goal didn't count. Who knew there were so many rules in soccer! She is getting so good at playing -- this season is going to be a fun one! Cole had his first sleep over at Grandma Anita's on Friday night - without Sidney! He loved having all of the attention and even talked Grandma into making pancakes for breakfast! (What he will do to get out of going to one of Sidney's BORING games!) By the way -- Dale did not come home today as planned -- he has so much work left to do, he has extended the trip one more week, well, actually 10 more days. Hopefully we can survive until April 8! We're on the count down - again . . . .

Especially for my Babes!

The trip we will never forget -- it seems like yesterday!

Dale this is for you!! I tried to take a picture of myself, but I can't seem to figure out how to not chop my head off! So - I found this great photo, it is especially good with Cole's little chubby cheeks! I miss you -- now you can remember what I look like before you come home next week!

Easter Weekend!

Okay -- I am still not figuring out how to post multiple photos -- but I guess you will get the picture!! (ha ha)! It was hard to have a fun weekend knowing that Dale was in a strange country where no one speaks English all alone -- we miss him like crazy. Saturday marked 4 weeks he has been gone. We are the lucky ones to be here with family all around! We had fun with Shalise, Kyle and Serene on Saturday -- we did the traditional egg hunt in the backyard (Can you believe we had such great weather!! What a surprise!! It was perfect), then we had fun coloring the eggs.

The kids were so excited for the Easter Bunny to come on Sunday morning. Sidney left a note for him telling him she wanted either littlest pet shop pets (specifically the pig) or a tamagatchi. The Easter Bunny wrote her a note back and let her know that he got her something she has wanted for a long time -- the Hippo Webkinz. No tears were shed and she was excited to get what she had forgotten she wanted! Cole's best gift from the Easter Bunny was his Chocolate Lab Webkinz and Rett is happy with any kind of truck - so he got a bonus - a truck with a trailer pulling a 4-wheeler! Everyone was happy and spoiled!

WOW!! I haven't been to Thanksgiving Point for so long -- it is really quite amazing! What a great display of those amazing animals. We watched the 3D dinosaur movie and then walked through the HUGE museum! It is so sureal to me to think that a giant animal was once on earth! The kids had a great time - Lisa invited us to go with her family for their credit union days -- so, not only was it super fun, but also very inexpensive! Rett was left out of all this excitement, but had a great night with Shees and didn't stop talking about her the entire way home! I need someone to show me how to format these pictures!! I'm still not used to this blogging!
