Graham Cracker Houses

It's gingerbread time! But since I don't know how to make gingerbread, we're going to use graham crackers!

This is Cole's house,
Rett's

and Sidney's

This is Cole's road.

Rett used all the licorice he could get!

Sid made a pooping reindeer.
Happy Holidays!

BOO!

WHEW!! Is it really over -- a month worth of Halloween crafts, parties, and activities and all I am left with this a zit on the end of my chin and a cold sore!! What a month! We made it through trick-or-treating -- through all the rain and hail -- we invited ourselves to another ward trunk-or-treat! It was great!! We would have been drenched running from door to door! Thank you 13th ward!
Did you catch the change in the pics?? Yep -- that's right -- change in costumes! Sid, Cole, and Rett all changed costumes depending on the party they were going to! What a great year!

Jack-O-Lantern Family

This is our Jack-O-lantern family!
Meet Kyles pumpkin. It's eating Sidney's home-grown baby pumpkin. Kyle was the pumpkin carving master of the night.CAUTION: WITH THOSE OF YOU WITH A WEAK STOMACH, BEWARE OF THIS NEXT PHOTO! This is Sidney's pumpkin, that's right folks! Throwing up!
These are Cole's 2 pumpkins. He said to me "I'm goin' for a MEAN pumpkin this year." On the second one, the small one, he had a different idea.

This is lovely little Rett's. He wanted to do a Spider man one, but we talked him out of it!

Anderson Reunion!

This pic is completely out of "order," but Thanks to Grandma Lynnea, we got a great pic of the grandkids all together!
Our family finally made it to an Anderson Reunion! This year we all went to Zion for three days. We missed having Dale with us, but loved the chance to hang with the fam! We went on a couple of hikes and can't wait to go again when Rett is a little older and can hike a little further! The weather was perfect -- cool in the mornings, 80's in the afternoons!

On the last night, we partied at the local park. Cole is so strong he broke the stick in half on his turn whacking the pinata! The best part of the night was the "flour ball" fight! We were all covered in flour by the time the party was over! Super fun!

The kids were so excited to see a pool! Little did they know it was like swimming in a pool of ice! Cole wondered why the water wasn't warm since is was heated by "solar power." That "solar heat" isn't up very long in the day! Even with cold water, they all insisted on taking a dip every day! NOT ME!!

Halloween is Coming!

So this year I decided to get a little creative by making our own halloween decorations. And everyone knows I'm not a big decorator but this year I decided, What the heck! A gal at work told me about it and it sounded pretty easy. Ours didn't turn out like planed, but me and Sid had fun making them! The boys lost intrest in the firs 3 minutes. Here is how to make a cute little ghost family:

Materials- cheese cloth, balloons or newspaper, wax paper, wire clothes hanger, Elmers glue.

Step 1: Make the form (wad up 1 big newspaper for the head, and 2 smaller ones for the hands. Balloons will work too. Tape the head to a 2liter bottle, or smaller for a smaller ghost. Unbend a wire clothes hanger, and shape them into arms. Tape the 2 smaller newspapers and tape them to the ends.)
Step 2: Tape down some wax paper on the floor or wherever you are making them, so glue dosen't get all over. Put the forms on top. Make a mixture of 3 parts glue to 1 part water. Dip the cheese cloth in the mixture untill covered. Unfold, Like Sid!
Step 3: Drape the cheese cloth over the form, shaping it to look like a ghost. Let dry and peel off. Cut felt for eyes and mouth and glue on. Place in window ontop of a eletric candle or something for ghostish affect.

The little one behind Rett is a Sunny-D bottle, for a smaller ghost. Have Fun!
