Halloween is Coming!

So this year I decided to get a little creative by making our own halloween decorations. And everyone knows I'm not a big decorator but this year I decided, What the heck! A gal at work told me about it and it sounded pretty easy. Ours didn't turn out like planed, but me and Sid had fun making them! The boys lost intrest in the firs 3 minutes. Here is how to make a cute little ghost family:

Materials- cheese cloth, balloons or newspaper, wax paper, wire clothes hanger, Elmers glue.

Step 1: Make the form (wad up 1 big newspaper for the head, and 2 smaller ones for the hands. Balloons will work too. Tape the head to a 2liter bottle, or smaller for a smaller ghost. Unbend a wire clothes hanger, and shape them into arms. Tape the 2 smaller newspapers and tape them to the ends.)
Step 2: Tape down some wax paper on the floor or wherever you are making them, so glue dosen't get all over. Put the forms on top. Make a mixture of 3 parts glue to 1 part water. Dip the cheese cloth in the mixture untill covered. Unfold, Like Sid!
Step 3: Drape the cheese cloth over the form, shaping it to look like a ghost. Let dry and peel off. Cut felt for eyes and mouth and glue on. Place in window ontop of a eletric candle or something for ghostish affect.

The little one behind Rett is a Sunny-D bottle, for a smaller ghost. Have Fun!

Two Different Schools!

First Day of School!! YIPEE! Sidney started 7th grade -- the big Jr. High! I'm telling you I would be lost in that school! Sid and I spent and hour and a half walking around trying to find her classes. There are halls all over the place!
Cole is in 4th grade and has the same teacher Sidney had. We love Mrs. Clark! We are looking forward to a terrific year!

Next Stop, IDAHO

So to finish off the summer, we went to Dale's mom and Step Dad's in Burley, Idaho. We brought along a few little things. Oh just the camper and the baby motorcycle. We hooked up a t.v. in the camper, (great camping right?) and watched the daily Curious George in the morning. And a little Kicking and Screaming at night.

Sid was the little maid in the camper. Sweeping, making beds, and putting our dollar store air fresheners. Keepin' it clean and smellin' good!

The boys loved the big open space to ride and play in. What boy doesn't like dirt?

Your probably wonder what the ugly dog is all about up there. Well, Grandma and Gill were dog sitting when we were there. What's his name. The one the only PORKY. Ugly dog, but fun, except for its chirping at 5 am. Yep CHIRPING not barking. Rett loved him so much! Played with him 24/7. One time, he was out there alone with Porky, BIG mistake! He got the hose and gave Porky a bath! So Sid goes out there to check on Rett and his buddy to find Porky by Rett with hose in hand Shivering! Couldn't help but to take a pic!

Rett's Number 4!

My baby is already 4! What more could he ask for, a truck on his birthday cake (from Costco because I didn't have time :sigh:) And Surprise Surprise! He has the same b-day cake as Sidney did a couple years back!

Curious George, bug watches, squirt guns and Whoppie Cusions, what more could he ask for? What about a SCOOTER! Thanks everyone!!

Ream's (grocery store) even sang Happy Birthday to him over the whole store through the intercom!

Do You Agree -- Sidney is Spoiled!!

This post is all for Sid! She has had quite the two weeks! She went to her first year of Girls Camp last week -- if you can call Heber Valley Camp -- camping!?!? It is definitely my kind of camping - flushing toilets, showers, running water, cabins! LOVE IT!!

The day after she got home from camp -- yep she got to spend the evening with Carrie Underwood! Sid was well prepared to meet her knowing the words to every song! What a fun evening with Grandma, Ernie and Kelsey and Mur! Thanks Guys!

This week -- Sid and Cole flew to Denver to spend to the week with Grandma and Grandpa! I think they will need a week to recover after all this excitement!

You wonder what Rett is doing?? He is soaking up all this one on one attention from Mom and Dad!
