Yep! I can't believe it either folks! Rett lost his first tooth! Well, not really lost.. . He actually had to have it pulled out poor thing! So one day Rett came up to me and said that his tooth hurt. I noticed his face had looked a little swolen the day before. . . So I looked at it and noticed a little bump on his gum. I didn't think it was anything serious, I though he just ran into something. So I ignored it and about 2 weeks later, he was complaining again! This time he hurt so bad, he couldn't even eat. So I called our amainzing dentist Dr. Jones and made him an appointment for the next day. I didn't tell Rett about it, so when Dale picked him up from school to take him, he freaked out! But Dale talked him into it somehow, and away they went. We though Dr. Jones was just going to look at his teeth, but we though wrong! He said that Rett had an infected tooth, and he had to pull it out right away, so the infection wouldn't go to his brain.
When Dale texted me that Rett had to get his tooth pulled, I didn't believe him! But sure enough he was serious! So I went over to the dentists office and we had it pulled. He didn't even cry! We told him that Dr. Jones' hands are so big, that sometimes he accidentaly pinches to keep him calm. He is one brave little man!
You know who he reminds me of? When Ellie was little on the movie Up! (by the way, if anyone has not seen that movie, go watch it! It's so cute!)

I agree about the movie. Fabulous!
Sorry about Rett's tooth. We had to have several of Hannah's teeth pulled and a baby root canal when she was in kindergarten. She had to be sedated because there was so much work.
Glad you found it when you did. Glad he's doing well now.
Is the blog of the one and only Dale and Jana Gierisch? Man I have been trying to find a way to contact you guys for years. This is Mark Cunningham. I would love to connect with your guys. Please send me a email at mark@exitlvrc.com. Sorry to write you on your kids story about his tooth. Congrats to Rett.
